Carmel – Standing in front of the Carmel Fire Department, Sue Kelly today received the endorsement of the Uniformed Firefighters Association (UFA) of Greater New York, Local 94, IAFF, AFL-CIO. Members of the UFA board were on hand to endorse Congresswoman Kelly. In their letter of endorsement, which was read at the event, Stephen Cassidy, President of the UFA, wrote,”New York’s Bravest support your efforts and are behind you 100%. The firefighters of this city are confident that you will continue to be a valuable asset to the residents of the 19th Congressional District as well as for all New Yorkers.” “I am honored to have the support of the union that represents our New York City Firefighters. The men and women of the FDNY have given so much, not only to the city, but to our nation. It gives me great pride to know that they have stood up to back my candidacy,” said Rep.Sue Kelly. The Uniformed Firefighters Association of Greater New York, Local 94, IAFF AFL-CIO is led by Stephen J. Cassidy, President, and represents over 9,000 New York City firefighters. -30- |
